Brugge =)

..Or Bruges =P Brugge is the Dutch and English translation. Bruges is French.

I arrived in Brugge on Tuesday (March 27th). I stayed with a surfer who is a fellow windsurfer! =D His name was Sven. He picked me up at the station, dropped off my stuff at his place, then went on a walk through the town. By god, Brugge is such an adorable, charming, town that is full of character! I loved it! After our walk, we got a beer and shared windsurfing stories! He is a much more experienced and legitimate windsurfer than I am, because he surfs on oceans where there are wind and waves! Found out we both loved ‘That 70’s Show’ and Family Guy! So we watched a few episodes before going to sleep. His couch was so damn comfortable!
The next day (Wednesday) we explored the town more. Sven went to Ghent, a nearby town, to hang with some friends. I stayed back and explored on my own and had dinner in a park. At night, we watched ‘In Brugge’ in Brugge! It’s a recent movie that is pretty twisted. In it, Colin Ferrel describes Brugge as a ‘shithole’. Of which, it is not! At all! If you watch it, it does a pretty good job of depicting Brugge.
On Thursday, I went to a chocolate museum called ‘Chocolate Story’! It was pretty cool, there were just  bunch of school kids there when I was- so that was super obnoxious!  There were free samples throughout your visit- so I took advantage of them! There was a Barack Obama statue made out of chocolate on display (pic below). Also got to see a chocolate demonstration and test the result after! I tried to climb the Belford tower- but it was closed =( Walked around some more and got my pin for Brugge. (I collect pins from everywhere I go- small and cheap!)
